Honne | Soundcloud

Smooth R’n’B soul matched with skilled beat progression from British duo Honne looks to be the upper hemisphere’s answer to the Chet Faker and Flume combo – they’ve even got a beard of their own. Affectionate single, ‘Warm on a Cold Night’, has us clutching at passions of our own.

Their remix of Shura’s ‘Just Once’ shows a similarly intoxicating side of their production. We might be addicted and are most certainly warmed by the funky undertones.

Lucian Blomkamp | Soundcloud | Buy Post Nature

Australia’s LUCIANBLOMKAMP got our attention last year with his self-titled EP. It was eerie & ambient looping that gave us a good preview of his methods. His full-length, Post Nature, came out recently and has most certainly kicked our expectations to the curb. The way the album pulls together seems to be a ‘digital criticism’ of music’s conflicted progression towards an electronic era. This anomaly drives the album and can easily be gathered from the hard electronic pulse, haunting and inquisitive thoughts, random pairings of acoustic blues, and overall ambient expressions. It drags you exploratively inward and then piques the senses just when you think you’ve figured it out.

By ‘Shook’ the album has touched so many bases that there’s no point left in trying. And you shouldn’t. In the end, it is clear that the will of Post-Nature is to make you flirt with all-and-other-worldly examinations through an existential kaleidoscope. LUCIANBLOMKAMP’s debut adds a much needed layer of flow for your stream-of-consciousness.

Faces. | Soundcloud

UK newcomer Faces. dropped 2 remixes in the past week and they are summer sun soulful. Not much is known about this producer yet, but if this is any indicator of what he’s capable of then we’re definitely gluing our ears to the digital ground.

Astre | Soundcloud

We can’t express in words how excited we are for Porter Robinson’s upcoming LP, Worlds. Today, we were graced with a remix of his recent single Flicker done by France’s Astre. It’s a cool take with some awesome samples [everybody run, its Gojira!] and an all around more upbeat vibe. All in all, it just makes us more and more excited for Porter’s upcoming show at the Shrine on Sept. 13. We’ll see you there!

Astre’s other tracks lean way more chill and fit surprisingly with the new Porter sounds we’ve heard thus far. There’s a certain triumphant feeling they give off too – perfect for moments of fruition. Check out his free EP!

Combine the textbook Darius funk with Bondax’s soulful vocal choice, and you got yourself a song of the summer. Check it out below along with some extra essentials after the jump.

Slow Magic | Soundcloud | PreOrder Album

The fusing of genres becoming even more common place in electronic music nowadays brings many new sounds to the game. That’s not to say this is easy to do. Some more electronic; more indie. Others a little too experimental; or the sounds just don’t mesh. Slow Magic has found a happy medium between catchy beats, creative sampling, soulful pianos, and uplifting synths, all wrapped into a glorious package of new music.

With his debut album How To Run Away (set to release on September 9th via Downtown Records), comes two singles that show a lot of promise. His range of dreamy vibes to groovy, powerful rhythms can’t go unmentioned. The dude has got some serious remix value as well. Check the tunes below and his tour dates after the jump.
