FINALLY some new music from an old favorite of mine, We Are Scientists. Unfortunately, their upcoming album won’t be released until next year, so hopefully this song will tide us over until then. It’s awesome in true WAS fashion, not surprisingly. Check it out.

Lightning In A Bottle | Tickets

Giraffage is a prime example of quality talent waiting to be discovered by the savvy. He hails from San Francisco and brings down the laid back, smoked out mentality with him. After seeing him at SXSW on multiple stages, his immense talent became apparent.

After first listen of his debut album ‘Needs,’ which he said was written “through the worst time of my life and also the best,” it seems like the perfect addition to your intimate playlists. The beats are slow, intricate, and sample-packed. But live is another story. The sound quickly becomes bass heavy and mimics the energy I see at a lot of trap shows. I mean that in the best way possible. Check this dude out if you want to have fun dancing to something different.

Breakbot | Buy EP

Some artists are able to incorporate a sound into their music that will stand the test of time. As the styles of the 60s and 70s find their way back into circulation, tracks like those of Breakbot will find similar long term success. The pianos put a timeless stamp on the recent indie-dance and disco resurgence. Breakbot is just something else. His music continues to lift our spirits, and his mixes are no different.

Stream the entire EP here with a handful of alternate versions/remixes. My favorite twist on the track would have to be Busy P & Boston Bun; where they take the track and add their own twist of ghetto funk. Also bonus mix after the jump!

A new song from Beck is just further proof that the dude can do whatever he wants and get away with it. It’s a far cry from his Loser-era stuff, teetering into the realm of dream pop. It’s repetitive and dizzy but it works cause it’s fuggin Beck. Check it out.

The lesser-known, American (but close friend of) Ellie Goulding, Lissie, has new stuff out later this summer. She has released the track list, as well as a new single. Lissie has the pipes and gumption of kick-ass female front. I expect some pretty big things from her in the future. Talent is hard to ignore. Check out her video for “Shameless.”

Also, check out the live cover of Kid Cudi’s Pursuit of Happiness she did back in 2010.

The Neighbourhood | I Love You

You’d think with an amazing album just released and a performance at Coachella under the belt, the Neighbourhood would take a rest. Instead, Jesse and his hoodlums are at it again releasing new tracks that are pure lyrical gold. Sometimes, there is just no stopping the flow of art. To solidify the fact that they are devoted to their cause, the Neighbourhood are releasing songs as additions to shows of “The Love Collection” national tour with Lovelife, The 1975, FourNames, and JMSN.
