Take 2 Entertainment begins its 2015 round of flagship Concert Cruise Boatylicious on Saturday, 5|2. Just as with all the others, this first installment provides us with an eclectic mix of seaworthy sounds. The double decker port party will be headlined by the summery disco-house of Gigamesh, the silky-smooth beats of Pomo, and that Long Beach Harbor sunset.

Paradise Unlimited‘s pineapple king Colour Vision, GDD‘s Troy Kurtz, GRYN, VenessaMichaels, and the homies Best Ghost, Templeton, and Mister Blaqk will be leading out what promises to be quite the cruise. Show up early cause embarkation isn’t waiting (bring a raft if you’re worried) and get them sea legs ready for some good ol’ boogie.

If you can’t make it out to sea, consider the landlocked Official Boatylicious Pre-Party on Friday, May 1st at V Lounge in Santa Monica, CA with Jai Wolf, Lonely Boy, Sleepy Cat, The Interns, and Lee K.

If you guys haven’t noticed, WAVS has now taken over every Friday at the Wayfarer. We think it has something to do with how fun – and musically different – each of of the shows are. Last week we had party-step vibes thanks to ATCR. This week we’re getting deep and groovy with NYC duo Walker & Royce.

For the past three years, their unique style has been featured in mixes from high profile DJs the world over. It will be fun to finally hear it from the creators while playing pool and sharing spirits. Lead in for the night comes from Bijoux and Torosbros. Come through.

DJ supergroup J.E.S.u.S. is comprised of four of the more outspoken – and respected – electronic artists of our age (Jackmaster, Eats Everything, Skream, und Seth Troxler). When they’re together, these jesters tag onto each others’ respective styles seamlessly. The result is an unpredictable back2back2back2back adventure through all things at the forefront of house music.

Expect to hear new releases from all around the world and see some silly shenanigans onstage. They will be making their American debut on Sunday and we’ll be right there in Yuma taking it all in.

Our favourite month is upon us! April marks the beginning of festival season and our partnership with MDA is setting it off right with our first ever triple header. The fun begins Thursday (4|2) with Switzerland’s sweet and soothing seamstress of disco-deep sound, Nora En Pure, as she stops by for her #PURIFIED US tour. Friday (4|3) night we’ll be getting a bit more experimental thanks to labyrinth house king Daedelus and his well-crafted adventures into the maze of music. Finally, we close out the weekend (4|4) with the electro-disco-pop leanings of Mystery Skulls. Support from local regulars Bijoux, Free the Robots, and Glorious Wondour, respectively, will only add to the fun.

One of the things we love about the Ouija Entertainment and L’Affaire Musicale team up is their attention to the artists and the blending of different styles. It really is like using a passport to travel across the world of music.

The next trip on Wednesday (3|25) features Germany’s Satin Jackets and their beachside disco, Cassian‘s Aussie house vibes. One of our one’s-to-watch in 2015, Durante and his funkier inspirations will also be rounding out the night. Our homies Dino Soccio and Maikol will be setting the mood early.

As always, drinks are on us from 9-10 so come say hi before getting down with the disco.

If you guys hadn’t already noticed, the joint series with our buddies at Ouija Entertainment and L’Affaire Musicale kicked off a few weeks ago with Jessie Andrews and Human Life. It was fun. Second up on the list is Thursday (3|12) and it’s promising to be a feel good affair. The always dancefloor friendly Le Youth and Solidisco will be manning the waves. Support from Kedd Cook, Templeton, and Kid B will commence the night.

Carmada is the combination of Aussie producers Yahtzel and LDRU. Together, their respective styles blend into melodic tropical trap bass house with a down under flavor that can’t really be compared to.
