The saying ‘more is better’ is a definitive truth when the heads behind C2C are accounted for. Formerly known as Coups2Cross, these four Frenchies from Nantes are no strangers to a turntable. In fact, they have 4 DMC World DJ Championships combined! As C2C they bring a unique style to the scene that is best described as down-home jazz, bluegrass, and hip-hop gospel electro – doubly interesting considering their geographical origins. Their breakout hit Down the Road characterizes all of this.
If finding new and interesting music is your bag or if you just enjoy some good ol’ jive, come hang out with us on Friday.

Both EDC and Coachella are sold out. Slowly, the scene continues to drown under a dogpile of dubstep worshipping fratheads and camera toting, half naked, facebook-beezies. Let me tell you, there was once a time when loud, bass n’ rage bangers were the thing, but those days have long passed. As the summer quickly approaches, the real kids get ready to disco.
Capital Cities – Kangaroo Court (Shook Remix) (Slow Jams)

Tennessee-spawned Jordan Kelley and Jason Huber are the two dudes that make up indie-funk/electronic-pop/howeverthefuckyouwannacategorizeit outfit Cherub. Since forming in 2010, the two have performed with the likes of Pretty Lights, Alex B, Miami Horror and Bag Raiders. I’m expecting them to explode pretty soon because they are awesome, releasing their vibrantly catchy debut EP last fall, which you can download for free from their facebook. Expect to see a lot more of these guys.

Yasumo might sound like Japanese anime, but they’re actually an Australian based funk band. Yanni Nair and Simon Salerno hold down the fort with ostentatious guitar upstrokes, bouncing baselines and silver-tongued swag.
I’m not sure what it is, but funk and house compliment each other better than Netflix and hot cocoa on a placidly mellow November afternoon.
Yasumo – Can’t Stop <-♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Trying to find my niche, I’ve been a major genre slut these past few months. Moombahtons pretty fun and dubstep always get my limbs flailing but I needed something fresh. Something unique.
Well I found it.
LeBatman is a 27-year-old Italian producer who gets me. He combines funk, disco and lounge house in a wave of beautiful synthesis; everything I could possibly want and more. My slu days are over, I’ve found my place.
Daft Punk – Technologic (2010 LeBatman rework) <- ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
LeBatman – Dating Do’s (Original Mix) <- ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Powerfrancers – Gira Gira (Lebatman One Night In 1984 Remix) <- ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Sunset Cruisin – Perfect Wave (LeBatman remix) <- ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

If you’ve ever had a conversation longer than 5 minutes with any of us at C+A+D, you’ll have somehow found out how we feel about The Twelves. It’s borderline unhealthy how much we’ve listened to their Essential Mix. The Brazilian forerunners of funk are back at it again with a 70 minute double mix for Kitsune Tabloid. Phoenix and Digitalism have both been recruited for Kitsune mixes previously; pretty good company. We always love new material from these dudes and can’t wait for a full length album. Check the tracklist below and scope out the interview we got with them a few months back.
A Side:
1. The Twelves – Handshake (dub)
2. Munk – Violent Love (The Twelves Tabloid dub)
3. Zeigeist – Humanitarianism (The Twelves Tabloid mix)
4. Metric – Help I’m Alive (The Twelves Tabloid mix)
5. Two Door Cinema Club – Something Good Can Work (The Twelves Tabloid mix)
6. Black Strobe – Me & Madonna (The Twelves Tabloid mix)
7. French Horn Rebellion vs Database – Beaches & Friends (The Twelves Tabloid mix)
B Side :
8. Ratatat – Wildcat
9. Reverso 68 – Piece Together (Part 1)
10. Sasse feat Kiki – Loosing Touch
11. Chaz Jankel – Without You
12. Spirit Catcher – Rollercoaster
13. Siriusmo – Last Dear
14. Shit Robot – Take ‘Em Up
15. Pol Rax – For You
16. The Paradise – In Love With You
17. The Juan Maclean – The Simple Life
18. Alexander Robotnick – Problèmes d’Amour Demo (Fafa Monteco edit)
19. Daniel Wang – Echo By Midnight
20. Alan Braxe & Fred Falke – Palladium
21. Tommy Seebach – Bubble Sex
22. Zombi – Sapphire
23. Zongamin – Painless
24. Twin Shadow – Shooting Holes
