Tahoe’s annual NYE festival SnowGlobe sees its return this year with their best lineup yet. Yes, I said it…the BEST. I know it’s a young festival, but just look. From top to bottom, the bill is filled with forward thinking newcomers and established pioneers of future sounds.

Of the upcoming talent, I’m probably most excited to see New York’s BRANCHEZ. With influences in Jersey Club, Hip Hop, and Future Beats, this dude has made a name for himself with his thoughtful, feel-good remixes. My favorites are below. Click all three and they’ll pop up in our playlist for easy listening.

He plays Saturday at 6PM in the Sierra Tent. Come bounce with us.

There’s been heaps of remixes from all-star producers coming out for ZHU this year. ODESZA, Lido, The Magician, and AMTRAC to name a few (you can hear them all here). Well, French Kiwi Juice decided to take his hand at debatably ZHU’s most underrated track “Paradise Awaits.” He added his signature brand of funky instrumentals in half time which put a special groove to this amazing original. I’ve been all over FKJ more than ever lately, so it’s nice to see him getting more acclaim.

When you have a moment to see where electronic music is headed, watch this beautifully done video of him jamming in his bedroom studio. Yeah, he has awesome dreads.

Our Odesza InterviewOur Slow Magic Interview

Just when I thought life couldn’t get any better, two of my favorite artists come together in a recreation of Slow Magic’s best track. In my opinion at least. They take the already emotional track to a new level that refuses to let me sit still. ODESZA really has that Midas touch when it comes to their remixes. This one is no different. Enjoy friends.

Every year there is a certain producer that really moves me in a special way. Physically, yeah…But emotionally too. Flume in 2012, Kaytranada in 2013, and now Denmark’s Galimatias. The way he produces his tracks so beautifully is instantly captivating. He manages to maintain integrity with everything he touches, while also adding his own style of bouncy energy. I always find listening to his music as an incredibly immersive experience.

He recently released a remix of Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” that I had been searching for from FKJ’s funky mix. I want to say that I’m surprised it was him, but I’d be lying. It’s so catchy and groovy, AND it rivals Aeroplane’s disco remix from last year. You’ll see just how big of a star Galimatias is when you hear the few tracks he did with the absolutely beautiful voice of Alina Baraz. Scope the tunes below, and keep an eye out for this dude. I’m tellin’ ya!

Hot Since 82Preorder Knee Deep In SoundTICKETS

Inception Saturdays has been on a roll as of late. They continue their hot streak by bringing in the power house that is Daley Padley AKA Hot Since 82. I was looking up his story, and his inception is a funny one. I guess he was DJing an afterparty in Ibiza in 2010 when the sound cut out, so he plugged in his iPod. An unreleased track he was working on came up and the crowd’s response was resounding. He ended up sending that track to Noir Records, and his booming career in the deep house scene began. Pretty cool how things work out, huh? 4 years later, he’s going to be running one of the best house clubs in LA! Check out to win the tickets after the jump.

Ryn Weaver has been slowly making her way into the hearts of hipsters around the world. She’s cute, got an outspoken personality, an amazing voice, AND she knows how to find the right collaborators. On her debut release “Ocatahate” turned the blogging world on its head as she pretty much, as some would say, “came out of nowhere.” I would say she worked long and hard and was patient enough ’til she had a superior product. And with the help of Passion Pit and Cashmere Cat, she found that product. Cashmere Cat took it on to flip the track to make it more….kitty. Peep it and the original below.
