Buy the EP

We were first turned onto Australian Hayden James a few months back. His signature tune at the time was Permission to Love and we knew it was the blossoming of a smooth and soulful sweetness. We decided to let his sound ripen a bit. An EP and a few remixes later, we can comfortably say this lad isn’t to be overlooked. Hayden draws heavily upon Balearic beat to build a foundation of undulating pace and deep swinging bass.

He makes music to feel to. He’s a Future Classic.

Another week, another night at LURE. Is what we would say – except not ever. This week marks the one-year anniversary for our favourite Label. And the stops for this night are nonexistent. The night’s festivities will be supported by DJ Falcon, Yuksek, Check & Mate, and Adam Auburn. Congratulations are in order. Expect things to get rowdy for this milestone.

RAC | Buy Don’t Talk To

It’s been two years in the making, and the anticipation for RAC’s EP was completely worth it. While the EP only showcases 2 new tracks, the 2 previously released singles on it don’t remove any of the luster.

There’s something about the somber lyrics – and wonderful vocalists – backed by the addictive cheery exterior instrumentals that keep us wanting more. We’re really digging We Belong ft. Katie Herzig; although the voice of David Monks of Tokyo Police Club on Tourist brings RAC’s sound together in a very special way. Hopefully we’ll see some of you at one of the SOLD OUT live shows! Season 6 of Private Label is opening with a bang. Daedelus and Nosaj Thing will be providing the hypnotic sounds. Both artists are known for haunting synths and heavy percussion. While this isn’t something we’d expect from Private Label, we aren’t complaining. Both, after all, are among the better electronic acts we’ve seen. Low Limit and Astronautica will be warming us up. Jungle

London duo Jungle recently caught my ear with their absolutely addicting neo-soul arrangements. I’ve been into lounge music lately and these two definitely fit the bill.
