Private Label | Event Info | Tickets

Season 6 of Private Label is opening with a bang. Daedelus and Nosaj Thing will be providing the hypnotic sounds. Both artists are known for haunting synths and heavy percussion. While this isn’t something we’d expect from Private Label, we aren’t complaining. Both, after all, are among the better electronic acts we’ve seen. Low Limit and Astronautica will be warming us up. It’s an LA natives party. Check out the songs after the jump..

How To Enter

Standard procedure: The contest ends at 5PM Friday October 4th! The more ways you enter below, the better your chance is to win. Be sure to be ready to check your e-mail/twitter, because I’ll be giving it to the first person who responds when the winner is chosen. See you guys there!

Jungle

London duo Jungle recently caught my ear with their absolutely addicting neo-soul arrangements. I’ve been into lounge music lately and these two definitely fit the bill. Think: lyrically bittersweet jazz-rock infused with a masterfully subtle tinge of electro-funk rhythm. Support their music here. Check their music video after the jump!

Vance Joy

Be prepared to hear the name “Vance Joy” over and over and over again in 2014. Melbourne’s alternative one-man show has a way with gentle acoustics, with the ability to make a simple melody powerful. He just released his debut EP “God You Loves You When You’re Dancing” and it’s every bit delightful all the way through. I’ve had “Riptide” on constant repeat since I first heard it. Be on the lookout for him next year-I have a feeling he’s going to explode all over the festival scene.

Check out more of his music after the jump.

Take 2 Entertainment | Tickets

Having missed out on Take 2 Entertainment’s christening of Boatylicious on America’s birthday weekend, we had high hopes that a followup concert cruise would surface. As luck would have it, our prayers were answered when the second installment was announced. The team at Take 2 have gathered a crew of premium musicians to help us end our summer right. On a triple decker cruise-liner. Out on the Pacific Ocean. Partying with good people. What more could you want? Check the tunes after the jump:

Private Label | Event Info | Tickets

We’ve been waiting for this finale since Private Label first sent us the summer flyer. It’s nearly time to change gears for fall. Cyril Hahn, Ryan Hemsworth, and Henry Krinkle will be providing this week’s sensual future-R&B vibes to end summer right. All three of these artists are part of the movement into electro-R&B house, and each of them are contenders to the fact that this genre is quickly on the rise. Check the amazing tracks after the jump!

HOW TO ENTER

So girls get to get in free this week, which is cool. Email all names to ali[at]controlaltdelight.com. But…we’ve got five pairs of tickets up for grabs for ANYONE! Which is great because tickets have been selling faster than usual. You could get in free to a sold out show! The contest ends at 5PM on Friday 9/27! Be sure to check twitter and your email, because I will email the first people who respond. GOOD LUCK!

Indian Summer

It seems Australians are set to take over the electronic scene in the same way the French did in 2006. Aussie Duo Indian Summer have yet to reach the exposure levels of some of the torchbearers like Flume, Ta-Ku, Chet Faker and Motez but don’t be surprised if they do. These guys just might be more on the dancy side and rely a little heavier on bass.

The two have released a steady stream of singles, remixes and an EP since beginning roughly a year ago. They also recently recorded a set for Australia’s Triple J Mix Up (think BBC Radio1 for Australia) that should be checked out. Whether this is your first foray into music from the land down under or you’ve been enjoying it for a while, Indian Summer is not to be overlooked.

Private Label | Event Info | Tickets

Private Label is back with another season. With school starting soon, there’s no better way to spend a Friday than by decompressing with some music and good vibes. Yeasayer, Star Slinger, and Mystery Skulls will be taking to the stage. Its an eclectic mix that will make this a fine night for music lovers.

HOW TO GET ON THE LIST

After last week’s free guestlist being crazy and not many tickets being sold, we have to restrict for this week. The list is GIRLS ONLY unless you’re a guy that confirms five or more girls. Sorry…some of us have to put bacon on the table. That’s how the saying goes right? Anyway, like this post and Control+Alt+Delight on Facebook, and e-mail names to ali[at]controlaltdelight[dot]com . The guestlist is good all night but I’d recommend getting their around 11 to guarantee entry. Check the tunes after the jump!
