What’s up everybody? Got YOLO53 zipped up and ready to go on time today finally. I had to wake up early today despite this throbbing hangover, because I’m about to leave to San Diego to see Treasure Fingers and A-Trak throw down two massive Fool’s Gold sets. Haven’t seen Treasure Fingers in too long, and A-Trak never disappoints. To top it all off, it’s at San Diego’s Wave House, which has one of those artificial waves I’ve been dying to give a go. Hello friends! So much good new music this week, and I’m happy to say that it’s more in the indie and rock realm. There’s always a fresh flow of electronic music coming through, so I get a major positive mood change when I listen to a solid new album. I’m speaking mainly about Portugal. The Man, who have their seventh studio album being released on the 19th. In support of this release, they are playing a “free” intimate show for anyone that shows proof of purchase of their album. $10 show? Pretty reasonable. Spaces are limited! More details here. The album is probably my favorite of theirs yet. So cool to see a bands sound develop through the years and PTM have come together real nicely. Anyhow, here’s #52. Threw up a couple off the PTM cd that I really like, some other essential indie rock jams, and the necessary electronic bangers. DILLON FRANCIS IS THE FUTURE!

Happy Sunday friends. On my way back from a real Vegas trip so I can start studying for my midterm tomorrow…..all good though. Whatever I get on this test will be worth it. Got to see Morgan Page at Rain night club in the Palms. Probably one of the coolest clubs I’ve been to. They had straight up cirque du soleil performers hanging off the cieling, robots on stilts doing the robot, pyrotechnics that were a bit much because of how hot it was, and the standard LED light wall. Definitely way better than Marquee which is supposedly the best club on the strip. Pretty overrated if you ask me, but I could be biased because they kicked me out for having too much fun. Anyway here’s #51. Got some fresh tunes for you all this week. Enjoy!

Happy Sunday friends. Pretty happy to say I’ve made it 50 weeks with these lists, and I don’t see an end to this anytime soon. Lots to be excited about that’s coming up real fast: HARD Summer, Outside Lands, A-Trak/Treasure Fingers at Wavehouse, Deadmau5 @ Palladium…woah. I think I’m excited for Outside Lands the most. There’s such a diverse amount of damn good acts, and plus, I love San Francisco. Decided against Audiotistic so Flux and Doctor P better be coming to LA soon. Back to reality after the first ever massive in Vegas. EDC was absolutely insane. My concept of time hasn’t been the same since last week. I had to work at the free water station and missed a few people I wanted to see, but it was worth every second. Good evening party people! News from EDC Dallas has been circulating through the internet, and it looks like we’ve got our first rave induced death of the season. This person seemed to be of age, but it doesn’t really change the fact that people still aren’t playing smart. All these people who are fresh to the scene and making decisions you wouldn’t make otherwise. Do your research before you do something stupid. EDC in Vegas is going to involve temperatures we won’t be used to. STAY HYDRATED and make sure to keep an eye out for anyone who needs help. I’m going to be working the FREE water booths, and my schedule is as follows: JUNE 24 FRIDAY 1AM – 8AM, JUNE 25 SATURDAY 7PM – 2AM and JUNE 26 SUNDAY 1AM – 8AM. We’re all in this together! Summer is in the Southern California air and unfortunately so are the clouds! I’ve got my fingers crossed for us to get some thick sunshine, warm ocean waters, and LOTS of new music in our very near futures. Lucky for us it’s concert going season! It brings me great joy to say that Insomnia Events have finally filled the void in our lives that was the EDC Vegas Lineup. Two words: holy fuck. Prepare to strike through the names of 90% of your electronic artist wishlist, because almost everyone who’s anyone is going to be there. No big surprises overall, but Insomniac definitely delivered as they promised. One thing I was actually surprised to see was that, Flux Pavillion isn’t joining his circus friend Doctor P in Sin City? Looks like Audiotistic will be that much more special come late July. It’s gonna be a wild summer! In the more near future, Remix Artist Collective is coming to Orange County this Wednesday for a 21+ event! Click here to get more details and music for that.
