Moony Habits is a new crew setting up shop in the LA scene. While they’ve a basis in beats, the Moony crew has already set plans to offer so much more in the realm of spacey and romantic. Their very first show features the genre hopping FaltyDL and experimental beat makers Mono/Poly and Mike Gao. The venue: the very intimate Complex in Glendale.

FaltyDL just dropped a diamond new record. Mono/Poly had a killer release on Brainfeeder last year. And Mike Gao has had quite the career that he started out of famed Low End Theory. It’s going to be a wild first show and we’re betting future parties will be just as far out.

Bob Moses embodies the spirit of all that we love about a desert escapade. Steady electronics, moody vocalizations, and a space-faring aura from this duo keep the atmosphere just the right amount of hypnotically sexy and wondrously smoky. Their live sets are touted as persistent and magical experiences through body and soul.

Don’t miss out.

Back when we featured ATCR, we knew they were onto something big with their self-dubbed “Pow Wow Step”. Since then, they’ve only been evolving and we’ve brought them out to OC to show us exactly how. Their mix for Diplo & Friends last year is a pretty good preview of the Aboriginal influenced hip-hop, tribal, and kuduro style party that they throw. Things are going to get wild. Don’t miss it.

For the past 2 years, we’ve been raving about HVOB‘s unique blend of music and art. Recent news of second LP Trialog (out 4|17) put them back on our radar. Our friends at L’Affaire Musicale and Underrated only added to the excitement by booking them this Thursday at Couture in LA. The performance will be LIVE and we’ll be right there finally fulfilling our dream of seeing this trio in their element. Video from Licterloh and support fromEric Sharp, Kedd Cook, and Nour will set the scene.

Lido and Club Cheval‘s Canblaster teamed up to release modular heavy EP Superspeed. It is a 6 track feature of the future of electronic sounds. Both artists’ influences can be heard throughout, and they meld perfectly. When ‘Rush Hour’ was pre-featured, we knew the continued collaboration between these two would lead to something impressive.

Were we wrong? Stream the EP below and support the future. Check out the ‘Making of’ video to see how they did it.

DJ supergroup J.E.S.u.S. is comprised of four of the more outspoken – and respected – electronic artists of our age (Jackmaster, Eats Everything, Skream, und Seth Troxler). When they’re together, these jesters tag onto each others’ respective styles seamlessly. The result is an unpredictable back2back2back2back adventure through all things at the forefront of house music.

Expect to hear new releases from all around the world and see some silly shenanigans onstage. They will be making their American debut on Sunday and we’ll be right there in Yuma taking it all in.

One of the reasons we love boutique collectives is their structure gives each artist the freedom to create forward thinking sounds under a loose canopy of similarity. Carefullly chaotic cuts and choppy sampling tied into melodic rhythms shadowed by gamey, anime style is where shy guy collective Pure Aesthete thrives.

2015’s Volume One compilation showcases their roster’s wide ranging capabilities well. It has soundtracked our world in cel shading. Keep an ear on these guys; they’re changing the cyberspace sound scene.
