12th Planet‘s been pretty instrumental in pushing forward the US dubstep scene and keeps it rollin with his latest (free) release, The End Is Near EP. He links up with a bunch of different producers (Flinch, Antiserum, Juakali, SPL) with the fattest track coming via a collab with Skillex and Kill the Noise. Keeps it pretty melodic while simultaneously thrashing your earlobes for 20 minutes. It’s 2012, the end is near. Bass the fuck out of your face while you still can.

It’s Hoodie! Hoodie’s almost a guilty pleasure because his style is slightly ‘pop’py, but he keeps his rhymes on point and his flow is so goddamn catchy. So fuck off for anyone that makes me feel guilty. This track’s about James Franco from Leap Year. You know about the crazy shit James Franco does?!

I know I know, I’ve been lagging on posts lately. I blame the senseless debauchery that was Santa Barbara over the weekend. Anyhow, its time to get you Coachillers prepped for the weekend ahead, gather ‘round. Los Angeles based DJ, producer and label owner John Dadzie is better known under his alias. 12^th Planet is recognized for thick wall-rattling music that works well in a strong set of headphones, but even better live. Although he’s local I’ve never had the privilege of witnessing a live set. Definitely on my list of top 10: do not miss. 12^th Planet drops bombs on Friday.
