I’m really happy I started this series, because sometimes I get so much new music so quick (i.e. All this stuff that I got yesterday), and it would be too much to individually post it all. Every track here is equally essential and have had me in a mood boost for the past 24 hours. I mean, look at the headline! That lineup of names isn’t a joke. Check what I mean after the jump:

Gosteffects FaceBook | Kick the Bass EP | SoundCloud

Our buddy John, better known by his ghastly ghoul of a moniker Gosteffects has been hard at work topping Beatport charts and getting support from DJs like Fatboy Slim, Laidback Luke and more. After his Kick the Bass EP blew out the speakers of thousands, he decided to release a series of the hardest hitting remixes in two volumes.

In Volume 1, .357 Magnum is locked and loaded with banging moombahton remix of Kick the Bass. Takes me back to that Delta Heavy Remix of Must be the feeling. With the recent release of Volume 2, John is gifting us with another free remix by Black Matter. For those of you who can never quench their electro thirst, pick that shit up! Head over to his soundcloud for more tracks to support.

You can download the track below by either going to the track’s page on his soundcloud or by clicking here.

Happy Sunday Friends! It’s been a busy past couple of weeks for us here at C+A+D. And I mean that in the best way possible! Because of the lack of stuff to do lately, I’ve taken it into my own hands to work everyday and go to shows every night. Our photographer Phil and I have covered events for Mumbai Science, Paul Chambers, Kill the Noise, Zeds Dead, and Emalkay in the past two weeks, and we don’t plan on stopping there. Tonight it continues at Drai’s for Sinden and Baauer! 21+ RSVP for free before 11 by clicking here and emailing sundays@dimmak.com, or you can buy tickets to be safe. Should be a nice change of pace, especially considering how big trap music is getting as of late. Keep in touch! HARD SUMMER IS NEXT WEEK :D !! Enjoy #106:

I sit before you today with a new rendition of the former YOLO list. After Drake used the phrase in his song, I wasn’t sure if it was going to be a good thing or a bad thing. This was mainly because I had been using it for over a year, and I was still set on sending a message with it. Turns out it was definitely a bad thing, and the name now has such a stigma to it.

The idea of building up your life to have a good retirement has always bugged me. How do I know I’m not going to get hit by a car on my way home today? Or how do I know I won’t get sick and fail to get better? It seems cynical, but the point is everyday of your life counts, and everyone should focus on making their dreams a reality. I still want to send the same message to everyone with these lists, in hopes that people make the most out of every second of their life. All the while, opening their minds and ears to new or old styles of music. There is so much out there to find out about, and we can use it to optimize our lives. After all, music is the universal key to happiness. That being said, enjoy #105:

I’m pretty sure it was a less than a year ago where Boys Noize tweeted something along the lines of “Watching Black Lips live. Finally see some normal people.” And just last week we saw Kill the Noise wearing a WAVVES shirt during his set. Now this…Sweet Valley, which happens to be the side project of Wavves front man Nathan Williams and his brother Kynan, is set to release an instrumental beat tape for A-Trak’s Fools Gold Records! Though Boys Noize’s comment comes off a bit snarky (I kinda know what he means), it’s cool to see the garage rock and fuzz punk steez transcend over to a predominately electronic scene. This mixtape titled Stay Calm has summer all over it and is set to release on August 7. Check the tracklist and single for free download after the jump:

The Yost theater is well on their way of being the top contender in Orange County’s battle for best EDM venue. It all took a turn after LED Events saw the potential of the rising scene in the area and invested in the Yost with a crazy lineup of shows. The first event we couldn’t miss, and debatably one of their biggest: Kill the Noise. Read on after the jump:
