“Room” and “Hear” are two brand new tracks off Cherokee‘s new EP, “American Spirit.” Both tracks are powered by a classic Ed Banger kick/snare feel which works seamlessly with the peppy, synth-happy, disco influence. In short, CHEROKEE IS AMAZING.

‘Out Of The Black’ is Boys Noize’s third full-length studio album. The LP, which is expected to release on October 8th, features 12 tracks of unruly, schizophrenic, acid-driven techno. Charging out of the gates with “This is what you want, this is what you get,” there’s no shortage of analog bass sequences and distortion. Some might argue that Alex Ridha is going back to his Oi Oi Oi roots.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call, The Twilight Zone.

‘Brainfreeze’ is a two-part all vinyl mix from 1999 by DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist (the DJ for Jurassic 5). The duo meticulously handpicked and sampled all sorts of hits from 70’s funk, soul, rock to jazz. Initially, 1000 copies were made and sold at the shows, and another 1000 copies were made and distributed to local records stores in California. Soon after, 7-11 ordered a cease-and-desist letter claiming the album art was a rip-off of their trademark logos.

After a year and a half absence, Fake Blood is back! His new EP titled ‘Yes/No’ dropped earlier this week and features three gloomy tracks. Sidestepping from his original funky and uplifting vibes, Yes/No delves into murkier waters with shadowy riffs and utterly despondent basslines. The tracks have great composition and are thought provocative, however, Fake Blood has progressed away from the party scene and is venturing through the deep dark woods.
