Cherokee can do no wrong. After releasing their brilliant original “Don’t Matter” just last month, the French duo show no signs of slowing down. This new stuff is fun, it’s fresh, it’s disco. Oscillating synths glide through the chromatic scale, transporting us to a far away galaxy of dance and rhythm. If you like a pu pu platter of house and disco, then get ready to chow down.

Unfortunately, we live in an age where mixtapes are disposable. There is something to be said about the trusted integrity of the artist if a tape can transcend time itself. Last week, Cherokee released a 30-minute-mix that could potentially and perpetually remain relevant evermore. The mix exclusively showcases a perfectly picked selection of Cherokee’s originals and remixes (released and unreleased alike).

“Room” and “Hear” are two brand new tracks off Cherokee‘s new EP, “American Spirit.” Both tracks are powered by a classic Ed Banger kick/snare feel which works seamlessly with the peppy, synth-happy, disco influence. In short, CHEROKEE IS AMAZING.
