In big concert news: The Yost Theater in Santa Ana just stormed the OC with more EDM shows than it’s going to know what to do with…Options. First off we got C+A+D favorite Louis La Roche back with the sequel to his three part Scenery Mixtape that he shared with us all nearly a year ago. Each 15 minute mix was released a month apart and made Summer that much more worth being giddy about. I’ve put countless hours into parts 1-3, and they seem to just get better with each release. Next up is Australia’s Midnight Juggernauts. My friend told me about these dudes after they opened for Justice in 07. I’ve been obsessed with their album Dystopia ever since. Looks like the guys have secluded themselves to record their third full length record, but a special gift surfaced on the web yesterday: their Daytrotter Session from 2010! Daytrotter is a blog that invites artists to come and play select songs live where the songs are recorded and released for our listening pleasure. Pretty sweet idea. Get on the Juggernaut train, though.

Finally, just a heads up on the lord of dark techno Gesaffelstein. His Rise of Depravity EP is stuffed to the brim with his cutting synths and powerful basslines. His music kinda sounds like it could be the soundtrack to some rave apocalypse movie. Dancing killer zombies and shit. Someone should get on that! Anyway, it’s set to release on July 9th on BROMANCE Records. He’s even released a remix today for Zombie Zombie! Gesaffelstein….the gift that just keeps on giving. Get ready for his live set debut at HARD Summer! Holy shit. I just got excited :D
