Happy Sunday! Good to be back. I feel like so much has happened since last week. Two huge leaps forward in the works for C+A+D as a whole. Feel like it could be really cool when we do it right! Stick with us. Oh and so many shows. Be there such a thing: Digitalism, Mord Fustang, Kendrick Lamar/Dom Kennedy/Casey Veggies, then Deadmau5/Murphy/Proxy for free? Little did I know I’d be here with a new mix for you today from none other than The Twelves. These guys are my idols, as far as music production and DJing goes at least. They have such a keen ear to what tears apart the dance floor, and it’s a kind of universal sound that anyone can get down to. This mix was done live in Barcelona’s Razzmatazz early November. They somehow snuck under the radar and +Jangbar missed them even though he’s there. SUCKS! The Twelves are awesome live. One of my favorite mixes ever, if not THE favorite, is their essential mix they did a couple years back. If you haven’t done so yet, I highly suggest you download it now.

They haven’t made it downloadable, nor have they included a tracklist. Busty. I’m almost half way through though and it’s very fresh! Lots of new funky tracks since they’ve been in hibernation. T.E.E.D., of Montreal, etc. And of course they’ve got their classic remixes. It’s a must listen.

Knife Party’s first EP is being released today for free! I was fortunate enough to get a listen to this last week and I have NOT been able to let this one down. Massive dubstep track that blasts through really good speakers. Kinda reminds me of Skrillex + Rusko. I’m obsessed. Get the full EP here.

Zeds Dead…these f*ckin’ guys blew my mind at Haunted Mansion this year. They played a lot of their original tracks that hit SO hard live. This one is no different. When it drops to dub in the middle, I die. Expecting big things from them in 2012.

Boys Noize released a compilation album of 24 remixes that he’s done over the years. Some we’ve heard. A lot we haven’t. All of them unique in their own right. Boys Noize proves once again that time has no effect on his production abilities. The release is out in the UK and France for now, but will be out in the US and internationally later this month.

Bingo Players have a knack for putting out some of the most quality house tracks out of everyone. I love their sound! Has a kind of feel to it that makes you want to be in an arena with 100k people. This song is no “Cry (Just A Little),” but it’s just as dancy if not more.

Shook: The boogie king. Older remix, but my friend sent it to me and I fell in love all over again. He’s got a real special ability with the sounds he makes. So groovy! Get his stuff from SoundCloud.
The Ting Tings – Hang It Up (Shook Remix) (Indie/Dance)

TGIK is awesome! Don’t really know what genre he falls into because he tends to mix it up a lot. His synths cut to the core, and this little track is a lot of fun. More for summer time, but hopefully it brings y’all some warmth in this gloomy winter.
TGIK – Pick Myself Up (TGIK Remix & Tribute to Peter Tosh) (Dance/Reggae)

French duo AIR are set to release their seventh studio album titled Le Voyage Dans La Lune (A Trip to the Moon) in 2012! Pretty excited since, although I enjoyed their most recent album Love 2, I’m pretty sure it’s time to venture into a new sound. Which they seem to be on the same page about, considering they got Victoria Legrand of Beach House to get her beautifully deep voice in on AIR’s intergalactic production. It’s cool that both of their sounds are distinct. The pianos scream Beach House and then AIR goes on and throws in those space noises that they usually use. You’ll know what I’m talking about. The album is set to release February 6th, 2012…the year of ze end of ze world! Or the year of nothing happening and everyone shutting the f*ck up about it. Anyway here’s what Nicolas Godin said of the album:

“Projects like this refresh our brain. Making your own albums all the time is too narrow-minded. At some point you write the same song. So you need new blood all the time. We are like vampires.”

AIR – Seven Stars ft. Victoria Legrand

Got a video of Skrillex at HARD Haunted mansion doing a “Levels” mashup (see below) at HARD Haunted mansion, but it looks like that wasn’t enough for him. He took the lighthearted, feel-good jam and converted it to a twisted out dub banger with another level of grime. Wasn’t expecting this to come out so soon, but I’m not one to complain. The combination is reminiscent of how I felt when I heard Kaskade remixed “Scary Monsters And Nice Sprits.” I could get used to this! Keepers on keepers this week.

Avicii – Levels (Skrillex Remix)

After coining the genre “Nu Jump Up” and defining what can be considered legitimate moombahton, Dillon Francis is back to his roots with this one. Quality dub coming straight off his Euro tour. I got a test in 4 hours, and I should be sleeping, but I couldn’t hold off on letting you guys get a taste of this. It’s crazy how established Dillon’s gotten in such a short amount of time and how clear the heights he can reach are. Last person I know that’s got this much all around love so quick is Skrillex, and Dillon’s following in his footsteps quicker than I expected. Can’t wait til this is released!

Steve Aoki, Rivers Cuomo – Earthquakey People (Dillon Francis Remix)

This one came out a bit ago, but I didn’t have the chance to grab the final version when it came out. Dillon said this is his favorite remix that he’s done, while I think it’s arguably his best. Definitely worth saving.

Got probably the most exciting press email I’ve ever gotten yesterday. Anyone who’s been following our recent posts on these guys knows about our unconditional love for Knife Party. I got to have a taste test of the two unreleased tracks, ‘Destroy Them With Lazers’ and ‘Fire Hive,’ and all I can say is that surpassed any and all high expectations I had already set. Pretty sure these guys have found their niche. Check out the teaser, along with some fun facts and tracks they’ve previously released!

One more thing! Go vote for them on Wobbleland’s FaceBook so they bring them to Nor Cal in the Spring! Last year Wobbleland had Skrillex, Nero, Datsik, and 12th Planet and was probably the most fun dubstep show I have EVER been to. GO! GO!
