It’s tough to put into words the feeling of getting new music from someone you appreciate so much. Let alone when it comes out of nowhere AND it’s free. Our favorite French house producer surprised us a couple days ago with a remix pack he dubbed Modernized. “A new take on some of House Music’s most classic tracks,” says Louis. So fresh. SO clean. I wanted to do my last CoachellAltDelight on something more critical. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I haven’t had the essential time just yet to put together my complete schedule for the weekend. One thing for sure, though, is who I start with on Friday. In a world where the number of DJs exceeds the number of white girls dressed up as Indians at Coachella almost ten fold, the Ed Banger Records crew has always led the pack. Showcasing talents like: Justice, SebastiAn, the late DJ Mehdi, Mr. Oizo and even Daft Punk; this isn’t a label to f*ck with. Check after the jump for more!

Months ago I had posted a album preview that really caught my attention. Drowned in a sea of 1:30 ‘teasers’ of drops of songs, I found myself unable to stop hitting repeat on the six minute minimix. Finally after weeks of waiting (and after bringing him out in person to Santa Cruz, where he KILLED Motiv) we have the Kick The Bass EP.

The album is great, throughout it’s loaded with this pulsing, tribal/noise vibe which really comes through on “Kick the Bass” and “Tear the Club Up”. “House of God” was released as a free download a bit ago, and it’s still banging in my sets, haunting vocals strewn over what sounds like locusts eating your local pastor, I can’t get enough of this stuff. “yeah” is his classic electro offering, which comes through with bright energy and rounds out a nicley put together and well-produced EP. He’s been getting a lot of attention here as well as Europe, and has big plans for 2012. Grab the FREE tracks below and pick up the rest of the album, and turn up the bass.

I don’t usually buy music, but when I do I prefer to support true underground talent. 21 year old Louis La Roche (AKA Brette Ewels) is nothing new around these parts, and today he surprised me with a ‘single’ that’s two singles? I must be missing something here, but I’m all for it! He collabs with UK rapper Ad-Apt on the title track Untrue. Ad-Apt’s flow works so well on Louis’ tracks, as they’ve collabed before on Missing You (below). Louis also showcases talent beyond his production ability for the first time by singing the chorus! Gotta give the kid some props. Touch Wood takes an instrumental approach influenced by 80s synth pop without using any samples. Can’t get enough of the grooooove.

Elevate did just that for me (that and a sweet local dubstep scene). I’ll always have a soft spot for his immaculate productions, often featuring hard-driven and passionate lyrics that aren’t over-the-top, but rather punctuate his ability to take his listeners for an emotional ride. And guess what you lucky desert dwellers?! He’ll be at Coachella this year for your tenting pleasure on the 15th/22nd, the third days of the festival!
