Can dubstep really be dead if bass leaders are taking over the world one city at a time? I don’t know about you guys, but I still get the chills when I’m in a crowd of 1000+ people and the bass hits me. It’s a very special feeling at a dubstep show. For all y’all out there still feeling that sickness, Rusko is heading straight for Southern California before he hits EDC, and we have tickets for you at the LA date! Find out how to win after the jump:

Ever since Flosstradamus remixed Major’s Lazer’s ‘Original Don’ earlier this year, there’s been a new genre on the rise. A new style that blends electronic and hip hop in a wave of gritty snares and raw bass. Trap music is the sound of summer 2012.

So Memorial Day Weekend is just about close enough that I can taste it, and there’s borderline too many events going on to choose from. If you’re like me and don’t have the disposable income to make a trip to Vegas, I highly recommend you consider going to one of the following showcases. It’s a pretty sweet selection considering how completely different each one of these shows are. So for this weekend you can get and be a part of the exact vibes you’re seeking! My choice wasn’t easy, but it needed to be done. See what’s good after the jump:

When I first heard that these two were working on a song together, I was blown away. The legendary A-Trak teaming up with one of my favorite rising DJs…..it just amazes me how you can come out of relatively nowhere like Dillon Francis has done, and be making music with one of the defining forces of the scene within a couple years.

As for the track, wow. Just wow. It’s undoubtedly going to be one of my most played tracks of the summer. Take Dillon’s lighthearted and feel-good synths, throw in A-Trak’s bounciness with his unparalleled mixing experience, and voilà! Make dat money.

The track comes out tomorrow, and even though I have it already I gotta support this and buy it. It’s going to take our help to get Dillon to the top where he deserves. And hey! This track is worth it. Also if you missed the hilarious preview video check it out after the jump.

EDIT: Purchase on BeatPort

So I just got home and was about to way to make my way over to SoundLogik’s DISCO MASSIVE, then suddenly a wild The Twelves mix appears! It uses funk and deep house. It is very effective!

Don’t know where it’s from. Or why they put it out. Or anything really. They’ve been leaving us with all these questions lately. Whatever! It’s nice to hear something from them. Debatably my favorite producers, and undeniably my favorite dance music performers. They’ll be at I Love This City SD and Drai’s Hollywood on Memorial Day Weekend. Yes, I’ll be at both.

It’s about time the homies over at NO BODY got a more well deserved feature on C+A+D. Ruben and Kevin have been grinding hard in efforts of creating their own unique sound, and at this point it’s safe to say they’ve found it! For over a year now, they have consistently released tracks on their SoundCloud, and most of the time it’s a free download. They caught their big break after getting a mainstage opportunity at LED’s Anniversary Party (w/ Knife Party, Bingo Players, Kill the Noise and more). Ever since, the stars have just been aligning in their favor. The dudes just made it that much more real to me that hard work and focus is guaranteed to pay off. Check out some of their tracks and more after the jump!

Was pleasantly surprised today to stumble on two new releases from OLIVER, LA’s very own disco duo. If you’re familiar with these parts then you already know what to expect from these tracks. I feel like making dance floor burners has become second nature for these guys. Everything they put out is a breath of fresh air for disco fiends around the world. I don’t know how such talent can relatively come out of nowhere, but I guess that’s just the day and age we live in. Check the tracks after the jump:
