Further Future | Lineup | Tickets

Last year, the famed Robot Heart crew decided it was time to host their own desert oasis outside of Black Rock. And thus, Further Future was born. A forward-facing experience in music, performance, food, arts, community, and inspiration, this particular “renegade” festival has already set itself up to be a staple for progress-aficionados. Unmistakably calling on its Burner roots, Further Future stands as a shorter and less demanding introduction to the future of festival culture.

When I moved away from southern California, I thought the thing I would miss most (other than my family) was the consistent music scene in LA. But thanks to event producers like Lights Down Low, I’ve pretty much forgot about it. Although, I do miss the bigger LA venues, but I digress.

Lights Down Low have been at it for over a decade, bringing the most well respected underground acts to California for their entire tenure. Seeing as how they’ve booked heavy-hitters SKREAM & Jamie Jones for this Friday, their ten year anniversary will be no different. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll open up your schedule for this unforgettable night at arguably San Francisco’s best venue.

San Francisco! Being in one of the best cities in the country comes with its NYE decisions…With so many options, it puts us, the fans, in charge of exactly how to bring in 2016. Another Planet Entertainment made this a no brainer. With a lineup that’s full of artists that could be headlining their own NYE show, we have THE BIG ONE!

We finally got to go see Bill Graham Civic Auditorium a couple weeks ago when Odesza sold out back-to-back nights at the venue. For such a large venue, it’s surprisingly intimate. There is no bad seat in the whole house. Whether you want to be in a wicked dance circle in the pit, or on the balcony dancing comfortable between the seats, you’re guaranteed to get an eye opening view of the city’s most grandiose venues! Sixteen artists. Three stages. One absolutely unforgettable night. Enjoy the playlist as you get hyped for the best NYE party in the country.

Future ClassicTickets SFTickets LA

FINALLY! Our favorite record label brings the crew out on a very special US tour that hits California starting tonight! At the top of the list, we got CLASSIXX bringing in their funky, disco DJ sets to run the night. I most recently saw them play live at Outside Lands, followed by a DJ set with STARFUCKER the same night. I personally could never get over their vibe. Both dates will have the odd, but smooth Sophie dropping her otherworldly bangers, and Cyril Hahn laying the cool groove.

SF and LA dates will have seperate undercards that I’m almost more excited for than the headliners! I said almost…Check the SF Lineup here and LA lineup here.

Kenton Slash Demon – Harpe

Treasure Island Music FestivalTickets

In its ninth year, Noise Pop and Another Planet Entertainment‘s Treasure Island Music Festival in San Francisco continues to impress with its lineup’s chock full of worthy headliners as well as the year’s fastest rising talent. Set on Treasure Island and void of conflicting set times, the festival has the added glory of a backdrop that little else can match.

This year’s installment features acts like Deadmau5, Big Grams (replacing Azaelia for the better), The War on Drugs, CHVRCHES, Shamir, Ex Hex and Bob Moses, among more. Also of interest are Silent Frisco‘s Silent Disco and Funny or Die‘s Blah Blah Blah which hosts local “battling” DJs and rising comedians, respectively.

Of all the festivals we’ve attended, TIMF takes the cake as most laidback. With billed acts splitting time between the Bridge and Tunnel stages, there’s absolutely no rush to get anywhere on the island and plenty of time to settle into a nice Autumn daze. Plan for cold nights and try the Irish Coffee.
