[Concert Recall] Mad Decent Block Party Los Angeles

Mad Decent’s 3rd annual Block Party in Los Angeles was a perfect way to cap off the summer. The micro-festival, complete with dodgeball, beer gardens, and a multi-genre lineup, set the stage for utter shenanigans. Throughout the day, the eclectic Mad Decent roster jumped between artists with no real connection or objective other than to have fun.

More after the jump.

To everyone’s disappointment, Three Loco was dropped from the bill. Luckily, Clockwork was there to fill the void with a wall shaking set of trap bangers. On top of that, Paul Devro delivered a pu pu platter of hip hop, Munchi dropped his classic barrage of Spanish infused moombah and Theophilus London kept things moving with some contemporary rap. Zeds Dead headlined the show and when they came out, the entire block filled up faster than free slurpee day at 7/11. Handfuls of mosh pits broke out and energy levels peaked as DC and Hooks stole the show. All in all, the venue was perfect, the crowd was friendly and the hotdogs were delicious.
